Alwyn Carstens is a highly skilled engineering professional and Group CEO of P-Pro Engineering, with more than three decades of experience in metal fabrication, structural design, heavy engineering, and project management. He began his engineering career in 1991 at a large, renowned German engineering firm, where he built a strong technical foundation and developed a deep understanding of world-class engineering standards. By 2006, Alwyn identified a clear market opportunity within the growing demand for project management and heavy engineering services, which became a key driver in shaping his leadership journey and the strategic growth of P-Pro Engineering.
As Group CEO, he oversees all facets of the business, including project planning, quality assurance, workforce development, and client engagement. His hands-on background enables him to bridge technical execution with strategic decision-making, ensuring projects consistently meet engineering, commercial, and client objectives.

Jaco Carstens
Operations Director
Jaco Carstens is a seasoned Operations Director with more than three decades of experience in the engineering and industrial sectors. He began his engineering career in 1994 at a large, renowned German engineering firm, where he established a strong technical foundation and developed a disciplined approach to quality, precision, and operational excellence. In 2006, Jaco joined P-Pro Engineering as Operation Director, recognising a strategic opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth within project management and heavy engineering.
Throughout his career, Jaco has led multidisciplinary teams in the successful delivery of complex engineering projects, consistently meeting demanding standards for quality, safety, time, and cost. His leadership style combines strategic oversight with a practical, hands-on approach, driving continuous improvement across production, fabrication, and project execution.
Jaco’s expertise spans operational management, process optimisation, safety and compliance, resource planning, and performance management. He is deeply committed to developing high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and implementing sustainable systems that support long-term operational resilience and growth.
